Hard Recovery Process in Exchange server 2003

1: setup outlook with exchange server
2:send and recieve mails (10-20 mail) in inbox

3: backup of storage group
using ntbackup:-

1:run---->ntbackup
2:select the storage group you want to backup
3:temp folder :c:\restore
4:click startbackup


4:delete all mail from ms-outlook
(permanent delete)

5: open exchnage

1:select server:[servername]
2:right click :-->new recovery storage group
3:ok

6: unmount first storage group :-->mailbox store

7: run--->ntbackup
1:select restore option and click mailbox store
2:temp folder =c:\restore
3:click restore

8:open exchange server
1:mount the first storage group:mailbox store
2:mount the recovery storage
click yes

9: download exmerge from microsoft

10:extract it and select exmerge.exe and .ini file and copy it and paste c:\programfiles\exchnagesrv\bin

10: create exmerge shortcut on desktop

11: run exmerge
click 1st option (extract and import one step process)
write server name (source and destination same)
12: choose temp folder c:\restore
13:next :next :finished

15: open outlook (all amils recover successfully)

16:delect recovery storage group manually.
